What is Umrah?

Umrah is a voluntary Islamic pilgrimage to Masjid al-Haram in Mecca. Unlike Hajj, it can be performed at any time of the year.

🌙 Spiritual Importance

  • A powerful act of worship and devotion
  • Opportunity for forgiveness of sins
  • Strengthens connection with Allah
  • Often combined with a visit to Al-Masjid an-Nabawi in Medina

🧭 Main Rituals of Umrah

1. Ihram (Sacred State)

  • Make intention (niyyah) before entering Makkah
  • Wear Ihram clothing:
    • Men: two white cloths
    • Women: modest dress
  • Recite Talbiyah

2. Tawaf (Circling the Kaaba)

  • Walk around the Kaaba 7 times
  • Begins at Hajar al-Aswad (Black Stone)
  • Supplications and dhikr throughout

3. Sa’i (Safa & Marwah)

  • Walk 7 times between the hills of Safa and Marwah
  • Commemorates the struggle of Hajar (AS)

4. Halq / Taqsir (Hair Cutting)

  • Men: shave or trim
  • Women: cut a small portion of hair
  • Marks completion of Umrah

⏱ Duration

  • Core rituals: 2–4 hours
  • Typical trip: 9–12 days (including Madinah visit)

Performing Umrah in June offers pilgrims a spiritually fulfilling journey marked by pleasant weather and peaceful surroundings. As temperatures are relatively milder compared to peak summer months, this makes it an ideal time for pilgrims to complete essential rituals such as Tawaf (circling the Kaaba) and Sa’i (walking between Safa and Marwah) with ease and comfort.

June brings a calm and reflective atmosphere in Makkah, attracting Muslims from around the world to unite in prayer, devotion, and remembrance of Allah (SWT). The lighter crowds and manageable climate allow for a more intimate and focused worship experience. For many, Umrah in June becomes a spiritually transformative experience — deepening faith, encouraging self-reflection, and renewing a strong sense of purpose in life. Plan your June Umrah journey with ease, and let the blessings of this sacred pilgrimage uplift your soul.
